Point Pleasant resident Robert F. Lenahan has been renominated as a member of the Acupuncture Examining Board, Governor Jim Florio announced.

“It gives me great pleasure to renominate Robert Lenahan,” said Governor Florio. “His experience and dedication have made him a valued board member.”

Lenahan has chaired the board since 1983, and is president of the New Jersey Register of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. A board member of the New Jersey Acupuncture Association, he is a licensed acupuncturist in New Jersey, California, Oregon and Florida. He graduated with a B.S. from Boston College, and received a B.Ac. from the International College of Oriental Medicine. Lenahan graduated with a D.Ac. from the Occidental Institute of Chinese Studies in British Columbia, Canada and also attended the New England School of Acupuncture.

The Acupuncture Examining Board examines, licenses and regulates acupuncturists in New Jersey.
